3 Different Yet Mouthwatering Mango Recipe

Can you name some inseparable combos? For us it is mangoes and summers! The first thing that comes to mind when we hear summer is mangoes. Mango is one versatile fruit that can be paired with a lot of things but have you heard of something unusual? Like rice with mango, mango dosa, mango rasmalai, mango pudding, mango coffee, mango kulfi? Weird, right? But to our surprise some of these weird combinations actually taste amazing!
Here are some weird mango recipes you need to try at least once:
Mango Rasmalai:
Rasmalais are probably one of the best Indian sweets we have ever tried. So rich and full of flavour, one can have a hard time resisting this mouthwatering sweet. We all have tried the regular rasmalai but have you ever heard about mango rasmalai? This dessert with mango is a paradise for all the mango lovers! So flavourful yet an easy mango recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 litres full cream milk
- Mango puree (2-3 ripe mangoes)
- Sugar ( as per taste)
- Saffron strands
- ¼ tablespoon cardamom powder
- Vinegar/lemon juice
- Water
How to make mango rasmalai:
- For making the chenna, take 1 litre milk in a pan and bring to a boil.
- Once boiled, gradually add vinegar or lemon juice. Keep stirring and add more vinegar/lemon juice if required.
- Let the milk curdle properly.
- Once done, wash the chenna properly with cold water. This will keep it soft and will remove the flavour of the lemon.
- Drain the curdled milk using a muslin cloth, squeeze excess water and keep it under a heavy object or hang it somewhere until it dries up.
- Now, this is one of the most important steps while making rasmalai. Once the chenna is ready, knead it really well!
- Once done, cut it into small balls and flatten it between your palms.
- In another pan, add in 2-3 cups of water, let it boil.
- Add 1 cup of sugar or as per taste in the boiling water.
- Let the sugar dissolve completely and add the chenna balls in it.
- Cook on high flame for 5-7 minutes and then for 10 minutes on low flame.
- For the mango rabri, take 1 litre milk and let it boil, add the saffron strands, sugar as per taste and cardamom powder.
- Boil until the quantity has reduced to 1/4th.
- Take it off the flame and let it cool.
- In the rabri, add mango puree.
- Mix it well using a whisk or you can even blend it in a blender.
- Add in the chenna balls and refrigerate it!
- There you have your mango rasmalai ready. It tastes best when served chilled!
Mango Badam Shake:
Badam milk shake is nothing new to us, right? But ever tried Mango badam milk shake? The flavours of badam and mango in one shake will be a treat for you tastebuds! Moreover, this delicious drink gets ready in no time. So what are you waiting for? Make this drink and enjoy it with your loved ones!
Ingredients:
- 10-15 soaked and peeled almonds
- Milk of choice
- Sugar (as per taste)
- Mango purée
- Crushed dry fruits (optional)
How to make mango badam milk shake:
- Add the soaked and peeled almonds in a blender with 2 tablespoons of milk and sugar.
- Blend it together into a fine paste.
- Once done, add milk of your choice and mango purée.
- Blend it well.
- There you have your mango badam milk shake ready in no time!
- Serve it chilled in a glass topped with some crushed dry fruits or ice cream!
Mango coffee:
Coffee is something that most people start their day with! But mango coffee? Sounds different, right. But as different as it sounds, it tastes delicious. Mango coffee is something that we have not usually heard about but it is surely worth trying!
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe mango
- Sugar (as per taste)
- Coffee powder (as per taste)
- Milk
- Water
- Ice
How to make mango coffee:
- In a blender, add chopped mangoes with 1-2 tablespoons of milk and sugar. Blend it well in a smooth paste.
- Once done, In a glass take coffee powder and sugar as per taste with hot water.
- With the help of a whisk, whisk it well until a creamy texture is achieved.
- Add the mango puree to the coffee and pour in chilled milk.
- Stir it well and serve it chilled with some ice!
