DIY Anti-Tan Packs Perfect for Your Skin!

Summers call for cute little dresses but the sun tan ruins all the fun, right? Tanning can be irritating and painful. Sun tan removal can become really difficult from the skin with the anti-tan creams in the market. You must have always heard your mother and grandmother talk about how well kitchen ingredients work for your skin. Well, they are absolutely correct as homemade tan removal face packs can be your saviour as they work like magic on stubborn tan with no side effects as natural ingredients are safe for most skin types. You can also add anti-tan home remedies to your night skincare routine to wake up with a glow on your face!
Here’s a list of best anti-tan face packs:
1. Gram Flour- Curd Face Pack:
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Gram Flour (Besan)
- 1 tablespoon Curd
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
Method:
- In a bowl, take 1 tablespoon of gram flour and mix it well with 1 tablespoon of curd.
- Add in a pinch of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of honey.
- Mix well to achieve a good creamy and smooth paste.
- Apply the prepared face pack on the tanned areas.
- Leave it on for 15-20 minutes or until it dries off completely.
- Rinse off with normal water and pat dry.
Gram Flour is a magical ingredient that can work wonders for your skin. Besan is known for its skin lightening properties which can help in tan removal. Not only tan removal, it can also help in exfoliating the skin and removing excess oil and hair leaving the skin glowing. 2. Tomato and Multani Mitti Face Pack:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons tomato juice or tomato pulp
- 1 tablespoon multani mitti
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- A pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
Method:
- Take one tomato and extract its juice or pulp.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of the extracted juice or pulp with 1 tablespoon of Multani Mitti.
- Add in a pinch of turmeric powder and honey.
- Mix well to achieve a smooth texture.
- Apply all over your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse it off with cool water and pat dry.
Tomato helps in keeping your skin healthy and reduces the appearance of pores. It also helps in cleansing the skin by removing dirt. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin. Multani Mitti also helps in cleansing the skin by removing excess oil, dirt and pollution. It also helps in removing tan and dark spots. Honey is an excellent moisturising agent. 3. Papaya and Aloe Face Pack:
Ingredients:
- Ripe papaya
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
Method:
- Take a ripe papaya and peel off its skin.
- Take an aloe leaf and extract its gel or you can even use aloe vera gel available in the market.
- Mash the peeled papaya and mix 1 tablespoon of the pulp with aloe vera gel.
- Mix well and apply it on your face.
- Keep it on for 15 minutes and wash your face with water.
- Pat dry your skin.

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon coffee powder
- Half teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1-2 tablespoon yogurt or rose water
Method:
- Take 1 tablespoon of coffee powder and add turmeric powder to it.
- Mix it well with yogurt or curd as your preference.
- Make a smooth paste and apply it all over your face.
- Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Coffee can work wonders to protect your skin from sun damage. It can also act as an exfoliator and remove dead skin. Coffee powder is also used to reduce dark circles and puffiness. By now as we all know turmeric powder is our skin’s best friend. Rose water can help calm irritated skin and redness.
5. Masoor Dal and Orange Peel Powder Face Pack:

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon masoor dal paste
- 1 tablespoon orange peel powder
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
Method:
- Take masoor dal and soak overnight.
- Blend the soaked dal in the morning into a fine paste.
- Take 1 tablespoon of this fine paste and mix it with 1 tablespoon orange peel powder.
- Add in 2 tablespoons of milk and apply the pack all over your face.
- Let it dry for 20 minutes.
- Rinse it off with water and pat dry.
Masoor dal or Red lentil has numerous skin benefits. It helps to lighten and exfoliate the skin. It also helps in controlling excess oil.
