"Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives" Season 2
3 minuteRead
Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Bhavana Panday, and Neelam Kothari are the main characters in the second season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which is India's equivalent of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But regrettably, it isn't quite as funny and cringe-worthy as KUWTK.
Good Part: The focus of the programme is on four-star wives who are resolving their problems. The creators address each character's unique issues in the second season and demonstrate them effectively. Such topics are covered and provide interest to the series, such as Seema Khan's divorce issue, Maheep Kapoor's disagreement with her spouse Sanjay Kapoor, and Chunkey Pandey remarrying. It is interesting to learn how celebrities and their well-off spouses live. This aspect was well portrayed by the creators. The best thing is that this season features full-on masala, with star wives getting plastic surgery and fawning over men like Ranveer Singh.
Bad Part: Some of the celebrity wives' stories seem way too manufactured. Particularly those that concern Sanjay Kapoor's wife. It's painful to watch her interact with her children and live her life. She also seems downright obscene in the way she constantly employs profanity. The majority of the show is staged, and it is solely for those who enjoy seeing how the famous wives conduct their daily lives. It could seem a little too over top and artificial to the average listener. Additionally, it seems evident that this programme has been used to promote star daughters' launches.
Story:
Seema Khan, with her hilarious one-liners, is unquestionably this season's Kapil Sharma! It's so easy for her to be funny, which makes you laugh so hard. Not only does she have an excellent sense of design, but she is also a wonderful mother, and I am certain that she is also hilarious. As a mother, the designer feels intense guilt for exposing her children to splitting parents during their divorce process. A delicate and skillful weave is evident throughout.
Maheep, who drew criticism for being rude and frequently using expletives in the first season, keeps up the same behavior in the second. But this time, we also get to see a rather sensitive and emotional Maheep who discusses the difficulties she had through in her first marriage years ago and how she left it with baby Shanaya in tow. Kapoor says she made the best choice of her life when she decided to forgive Sanjay in order to protect her children. Neelam, the prim and proper Bollywood doll from the 1990s, is also hotter and more exciting now. Neelam, who vehemently opposed the notion of kissing on-screen, is seen approving the practise for a forthcoming movie Zoya Akhtar has presented to her. It's very funny to see her stress out over it and repeatedly annoy her real-life husband Samir Soni by acting out the kissing moment with him.
With an oomph and glitter to the season, Bhavana Pandey and Chunky Panday reaffirm their vows after 24 years of marriage. The response of their teenage children Ananya and Rysa to their parents' amorous wishes is strange, since both belong to the modern generation called "Gen Z." In spite of the girls' sophistication, it was upsetting to see them have such a strange attitude towards something so sentimental and sensitive, especially since it involved their parents. In spite of all the criticism, I admire her for standing by this hackneyed and cringe-worthy idea! In this highly swaggering image of one Mercedes arriving after the other, the ladies' cars show up everywhere they meet. For a brief moment, you fully anticipate a mobster to emerge from the car due to the amount of swag there.
Being a reality show, FLBW will probably make you cringe at times. Reality television is also expected to provide entertainment FLBW, however, lacked this. The rest of the series was just plain dull, with the exception of the first episode. Actually, this programme could learn a thing or two from programmes like Bigg Boss. Even if it's silly, they are amusing.
