Mary Kom, also known as Magnificent Mary, is a legendary Indian boxer who has inspired countless people with her determination, hard work, and talent. She is a six-time world champion, Olympic bronze medalist, and Padma Shri awardee, among other honours! But beyond her achievements in the ring, Mary Kom is also a devoted mother who has successfully balanced her career and family life.

Mary Kom was born in a small village in Manipur, India, and grew up in a humble family. Her parents were farmers, and Mary had to walk several kilometres daily to reach her school. Despite the challenges she faced, Mary was a determined child who was interested in sports from a young age. She started training in boxing when she was just 15 years old and soon became a state-level champion. However, her journey to the top took work, and she had to overcome several obstacles along the way.

One of the biggest challenges Mary faced was balancing her career and family life. Mary's rigorous training schedule often requires her to be away from home for long periods, which can be tough for any mother. However, Mary has always managed to stay connected with her family and provide them the love and support they need. She got married to K Onler Kom, a footballer, in 2005, and the couple got pregnant in 2006 and was blessed with twin baby boys in 2007! This made, Mary take a break from her career. She delivered her baby boys through C-section, which, again raised a lot of questions on her career. But the supermom proved everyone wrong with her glorious comeback after her maternity leave by winning a gold medal in World Championship! Now, a mother to four children, Mary is truly an inspiration to everyone.

Mary's dedication to her family is evident in the way she talks about her children. In an interview, she said, "My kids are my biggest fans. They love watching me fight, and I love seeing them in the audience cheering me on." Mary's children have also been a source of inspiration for her! When she won her bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Mary dedicated her victory to her twins, who were just three years old at the time. She said, "I want to tell them that nothing is impossible if you work hard and believe in yourself."

Mary's success as a mother can also be attributed to the support she receives from her husband. In an interview, she said, "My husband is my biggest support system. He takes care of the children when I'm away, and he understands the demands of my profession." K Onler Kom has been a pillar of strength for Mary, and his unwavering support has allowed her to pursue her dreams without compromising on her family life.

Mary Kom is not only a champion boxer but also a champion mother. She has shown that it is possible to excel in both career and family life with the right balance of dedication, hard work, and support. Mary's journey is an inspiration to all mothers who aspire to achieve greatness while raising their children with love and care.
