What won the hearts was her answer in the last round. The same question was asked to all three women: "What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?"
But it was Harnaaz Sandhu's confident and beautiful answer that made her win the crown, she answered, "The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let's talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that is why I am standing here today,"
She successfully edged out the contestants from Paraguay and South Africa who are the first runners up and second runners up respectively. She was crowned by the former Miss. Universe 2020, Andrea Meza from Mexico.
She is greatly inspired by her mother, who broke the shackles of patriarchy and became a successful gynaeocologist to lead the family, she mentioned in her Miss Universe delegate bio. She also belives very strongly in women's constitutional rights for education, freedom of choice and career.
Congratulations Harnaaz! We are all super proud of you!
