Making a check list works wonders, it helps in sorting out your priorities too!

I agree, making a to-do list is the best thing ever! You won't even miss a single thing out of it. 
Another thing you can do is to make a list of your tasks as per your priorities. Keep the most important things on top which requires immediate attention!
